Itinerary
Hiking from Sharm el Sheikh to Mount Sinai, one of Egypt's tallest mountains, allows you to view the sunrise. You will ascend the 2,285-meter (7,497-foot) peak in the predawn darkness, see the chapel and mosque atop the mountain illuminated by the first light, and then descend to the sixth-century Monastery of St. Catherine, erected where Moses is said to have seen the Burning Bush.
